Our client is a five star hotel in New Zealand, with more than 400 rooms and suites, venues for private & business meetings for up to 1400 guests and 2 exceptional restaurants-  


We are  looking for Sous Chef (m/f)  to join the kitchen team.

Permanent position, starting date as soon as possible.

Your duties will include:

  • working in the banquetting section
  • assisting the Head Chef in a smooth running, replacing the Head Chef during absence
  • supervising and training of staff
  • preparing and producing dishes
  • quality and cost control
  • ensuring hygienic standards and cleanliness
  • assistance in ordering, inventory

  • finished apprenticeship as chef
  • working experience in a similar role and in a similar environment
  • able to work under pressure
  • leadership skills
  • creative
  • organised
  • very good command of English
