Exciting Opportunity! We are seeking to recruit a Senior Sous Chef for ultra luxury international cruiseliner
International six star cruiseliner for up to 1000 passengers is seeking to recruit a Senior Sous Chef (m/f) to assume full responsibility for the entire Hot Galley Operation including food preparation for all outlets and room service.
To manage Hot Galley staff (up to 30), work schedules, training, cost control etc.
You are reporting to the Chef de Cuisine, Executive Chef and the F&B Manager.
Contract: 12 months
4,5 months on / 2 months off
medically covered also during vacation
single cabin
monthly salary USD 4970 while onboard
Prior joining an Ocean Liner you need a C1D US Visa. Please Note: A visa application may take several weeks.
And you will be required to take a Pre-Employment Medical Exam.

Anforderungsprofil
Job Profile:
- Culinary Institue Diploma or Chef Certification
- a minimum of 2 years experience as a Sous Chef in the luxury cruise ship industry
- or must have a minimum of 3 years experience as Sous Chef in a luxury international hotel property
- a good command of English, which is the offical language onboard
- very good administrative skills (proficient in Outlook, Excel and Word)
- excellent leadership skills
- a Basic Safety and Crowd Management Training (STCW) before joining the ship
- a high degree of patience and understanding towards different nationalities
Kindly note that no visible Tatoos/Piercings are allowed !
The Uniform is provided by the company and will be handed out onboard.
There are no joining fees or costs when joining the ship. Your medical examination, visas and travel expenses are paid (back) by the company once you are onboard.
Flight tickets to and from the vessel will be organized for you.
